Description
Tundra is an organic, semi-savoy spinach. Semi-savoy spinach is generally considered the best type for growing at home because it has all the benefits of savoy spinach—better taste, longer keep time, and less oxalic acid than smooth types—but its leaves are only lightly crinkled. And Tundra's elongated, oval, glossy, dark green baby leaves have excellent texture and flavor.
This variety grows slowly, so it can be planted in early spring, early summer, or early fall. The plant has an upright growth habit, reducing mud splash, good bolting tolerance, and a strong resistance to downy mildew races 1, 13, 15, 16.
